THE BRIDE OF CHRIST REQUIRES NOTHING

Queen Esther is a quintessential picture of the Bride of Christ. After 12 months of preparation, Esther was to go into the King to see if she was acceptable in his sight. Notice that 12 months – a year – was the same prep time for a High Priest going into the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur before Christ’s Crucifixion tore the veil in the Temple from top-to-bottom (Matt. 27:51).

 

When it was Esther’s turn, she required nothing but what the king’s chamberlain appointed: “Now when the turn of Esther … was come to go in unto the king, SHE REQURED NOTHING but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her” (Esther 2:15 KJV).

 

A king’s chamberlain is an attendant on a sovereign in his bedchamber. He is a chief officer in the household of a king who is the treasurer of his most intimate possessions. A king’s chamberlain is a governmental officer who is in charge of receiving, keeping, and disbursing the king’s resources, which is the highest form of bridal love by the way. In the Book of Esther, the meaning behind the king’s chamberlain’s name – Hegai – speaks of four things: meditation, word, groaning (birthing), and separation. These are all key because they are the instructions of the one in charge of the house of the women – the house of the Bride of Christ (Esther 2:3). We are to do NOTHING, except what the king’s chamberlain appoints. Esther’s father’s name is Abihail. If we dig into the Hebrew meaning of “Abihail,” we discover that Esther bore the image of her true Father in Heaven in whom she was brought forth through suffering and patient endurance. Through her overcoming her God ordained trials, she entered His rest. This is also when the Bride of Christ abides in Messiah Yeshua and bears the highest amount of fruit: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. ‘I AM THE VINE, you are the branches. HE WHO ABIDES IN ME, AND I IN HIM, BEARS MUCH FRUIT; FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING” (John 15:1-5).

 

Therefore, in conclusion, the demonstration and appearance of the Bride in Christ requires nothing. Nothing is where the righteous Bride knows nothing except Christ crucified, where she does nothing of herself, where she is miraculously sustained, where her Beloved is magnified in her, where the Melchizedek priesthood refines their fire bride within, where the single-eyed dove awakens in His likeness, and where she is perfect as He is perfect through holy martial oneness.
