Before I landed in Israel, I could feel Yeshua’s Presence. My favorite thing about Israel was the people. I could also feel Messiah Yeshua with many Israelites, especially the Orthodox Jews who believed and lived by the Bible. I was a bit confused. I had been taught that Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father,” however the Orthodox Jews I met did not appear to “know” Yeshua.
When I got home, I wrestled over this for months. I sought Yeshua, asking Him why could I feel Him in the Orthodox Jews, yet they don’t seem to know You? One day I was on the sidewalk outside my gym when I heard Yeshua say: “Ya know… When you see Me, you see the Father.” I responded with a soft, “yes,” knowing I was about to receive an answer to my quandary. Then Yeshua added, “Don’t you think that the opposite is true too?” I was amazed at the simplicity and the truth. I had waited for His revelatory truth because I didn’t want a theological answer. I just wanted the truth, and I got it.
Of course, the opposite is true because The Father and The Son are one (John 17). So, when anyone sees/knows Yeshua, they sees/knows the Father AND when anyone sees/knows the Father, they see/know Yeshua. Let’s stay open to truth and grace.
“Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love” (2 John 1:3).
